4 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Jorge Polanco went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a 3-2 loss to the Tigers on Sunday. Polanco had been 1-for-8 in his previous three contests after enjoying a five-game hitting streak, so this was a nice performance to get him back on track. For the season, the 27-year-old is slashing .279/.314/.388 with 38 hits and 16 RBI compared to 15 strikeouts in 35 games played. The power numbers aren't great this year, but Polanco has been a great source of average at the shortstop position. Up next is a tough matchup against White Sox ace Lucas Giolito, who is coming off a no-hitter in his last start.--Tim Capurso
