4 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman Jorge Polanco went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, two RBI, and a pair of walks in a 7-3 victory over Detroit. Polanco was a tough out on Friday night, as he reached base safely in four of his five trips to the plate. His home run, which traveled 375 feet at an exit velocity of 100.3 MPH, was his second of the year. The 27-year-old is 7-for-22 with five extra-base hits and four RBI over the last week of play, as he has really started to get going at the plate. Polanco will face a right-hander, Jose Urena, on Saturday, which gives him a platoon advantage and a great chance to continue his recent success at the dish.--Tim Capurso
