Jose Abreu Continues Hot Second Half
3 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu continued his strong second half of the season on Thursday versus the Toronto Blue Jays. The slugger went 1-for-5 with a solo home run on the afternoon. Abreu didn't have the protection of outfielders Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert for much of the first half of the season, but their return to the lineup has helped Abreu put together an impressive second half. The reigning American League MVP is hitting .310 with five home runs and 13 over his last 15 games. For the season, Abreu is now hitting .257 with 27 home runs and 97 RBI. Managers should continue to have confidence with Abreu.
