3 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu (knee) left Sunday's game early after being hit by a pitch on the left knee from Seattle Mariners pitcher J.T. Chargois. Abreu was in clear pain and exited with team trainers. Abreu has been in a big slump in June, but any time missed would be a big blow to fantasy managers. Abreu finished the game 1-for-2 and was replaced by first baseman/outfielder Andrew Vaughn. This was the first of two games Sunday between the two clubs, and Abreu is unlikely to suit up for Game 2. More should be known on his status later in the day.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
