6 years agoChicago White Sox designated hitter Jose Abreu went 1-for-2 with a hit during Thursday’s 5-0 loss to the Cleveland Indians, marking his third game in a row in which he has recorded a hit and his 11th of the month. The 32-year-old should continue to be a sufficient source of hits, but will likely continue to battle striking out all in the same with little room for anything else, especially given Chicago’s struggles on the offensive side of the ball. He will have a tough time on Friday against Clay Buchholz and the Jays with the veteran batting a miserable .091 with two strikeouts and only two RBI against the righty through 11 encounters.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
