Jose Abreu Goes Yard For Second Straight Game
3 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's loss versus the Minnesota Twins. Abreu was ice cold in the month of June with a .182 batting average to go along with two home runs and eight RBI, but he has been off to a hot start in July with nine hits in 23 at-bats. He has also homered in back-to-back games. Abreu has always heated up when the weather has gotten warmer and managers that held onto the reigning American League MVP should be optimistic that the slugger will begin to turn his season around. Abreu is now hitting .253 with 15 home runs and 62 RBI.
