6 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu (groin) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with lower abdomen pain. Abreu underwent surgery on Tuesday and is expected to return to baseball activities in two weeks. It comes at a bad for fantasy owners as the playoffs are a few weeks away and Abreu has finally been hitting the ball well after a rough first half.
