Jose Altuve Delivers Final Blow To White Sox's Season
3 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, three runs batted in and four runs scored in the Astros 10-1 pounding of the White Sox to advance to the ALCS for the fifth season in a row. Altuve was a menace the entire game, ripping a double off White Sox starter Carlos Rodon on the first pitch of the game. The former MVP punctuated his excellent performance with a three-run home run in the ninth inning to seal the White Sox postseason fate. Altuve finished his ALDS slashing .313/.476/.625 with one home run, two doubles, three runs batted in and nine runs scored across 16 at-bats.
