4 years agoHouston Astros' second baseman Jose Altuve has yet to pass COVID-19 protocols, per manager Dusty Baker. He "hasn't really passed the protocols yet," Baker said on a Tuesday morning radio show. Alex Bregman, Yordan Alvarez, Martín Maldonado, and Robel Garcia were all activated from the COVID-19 injured list earlier on Tuesday but Altuve will have to pass protocols before he can rejoin the team. The 30-year-old is batting .318/.380/.455 with one home run and five RBI over 44 at-bats to begin the season. The Astros should provide an update as soon as he's cleared to return to the team.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
