6 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve is hoping for a healthy stretch of baseball when the team opens up the second half of their season Thursday against the Rangers. Altuve has once again struggled with knee injuries that have kept him off the field. The former MVP has looked like a shell of himself at times but is trending in the right direction as the first half came to a close. Altuve is hitting .318 in the month of June and is hitting .333 over his last 30 at-bats. Fantasy owners should not expect Altuve to post numbers similar to season's past but still can be an elite bat at the second base position moving forward.--Joey C - RotoBaller
