Jose Altuve Slashing .379/.461/.591 This Month
7 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve has taken his play to another level in the month of June and has an excellent matchup on Friday against the Royals. Altuve is slashing .379/.461/.591 over his last 66 at-bats with three home runs, five doubles, five stolen bases and 10 runs batted in. Outside of a small slump in May it has been another typical elite season for the reigning MVP and now Altuve is beginning to turn on the power. He popped two home runs on Wednesday and now will face the Royals left-hander Danny Duffy as the Astros open up a weekend series at home. In 16 career at-bats against Duffy, Altuve has eight hits, including three doubles, lifetime against him. Altuve remains one of the top hitters in the game.
