6 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve is white-hot at the plate right now heading into the team's series against the A's at Minute Maid Park beginning Monday. Over his last 15 games, Altuve is slashing .338/.357/.588 and is posting a .677 slugging over his last seven games with three home runs. This is the strongest offensive stretch at the plate for Altuve in over a year after the former MVP has dealt with knee problems. Altuve has multiple hits in nine of his last 16 games and has taken his batting average up from .259 to .277 over the last two weeks.
