5 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve went 1-for-5 with one run scored and one RBI as the Astros beat the Mariners 8-2 on Opening Day. Altuve tied the game 2-2 in the fifth inning with an RBI single and later scored on a Michael Brantley three-run home run. Altuve and the Astros have been embroiled in controversy all offseason but the offense already is flexing its muscle in the first step towards silencing the doubters. The former MVP enjoyed a fantastic second half in 2019 and this first game is a positive first step. Altuve should be in standard fantasy lineups every day heading into the weekend.--Joey C - RotoBaller
