7 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (knee) will take batting practice on the field on Wednesday. It's a big step for Altuve, who has been slow to recover from a knee injury that has kept him out since July 26. Barring any setbacks, the pint-sized second baseman should be able to return to the Houston lineup before the end of the month. The All-Star is hitting .329 with nine home runs, 46 RBI, 14 stolen bases and 64 runs scored. He contributes across all categories and is a must-start when he's healthy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
