Jose Altuve Trying To Finish Season Strong

4 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve will start and hit second Thursday against the Rangers. It has been a season that Altuve would love to forget, beginning with heavy criticism from the offseason cheating scandal to total ineffectiveness at the plate. To further compound these issues, Altuve's knee issues have returned and have kept him off the field. Altuve returned to the lineup on September 15 and has one hit through his first six at-bats and is slashing only .222/.288/.315 through 149 at-bats this season. With only so many games left on the schedule, fantasy teams should consider benching, or even dropping, Altuve from lineups the rest of the way.--Joey C - RotoBaller
