6 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve went 3-for-4 with a home run and two runs batted in as the Astros took down the A's 4-2 on Wednesday. It has been a resurgent month of July for Altuve, who is now slashing .363/.386/.638 over his last 80 at-bats with five home runs and seven doubles. The former MVP's season got off to a rough start as a lingering knee injury hampered his production at the plate. But Altuve is flashing the kind of elite production from seasons past and is just another dangerous weapon in an explosive Astros offense.
