Jose Bautista Hits First Homer As A Met
6 years agoIt took 28 games as a New York Met, but the day finally arrived as outfielder Jose Bautista hit his first home run as an Amazin. It didn’t mean much at the end of the day, as the Mets were defeated by the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-2. Joey Bats picked up two hits on the evening -- the only Met to achieve a multi-hit outing. The successful night is not likely to lead to a hot streak for Bautista. He’s slashing .205/.372/.386 with three home runs, 12 runs scored and 14 RBI across 88 at-bats on the season. His days as a fantasy dynamo are over.
