7 years agoAccording to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, newly signed Jose Bautista is expected to be the Atlanta Braves starting third baseman when recalled from the minor leagues. Currently Ryan Flaherty is manning the hot corner, however the Braves want to use him in a more utility role. Bautista is coming off of a season in which he hit .203 with 23 home runs and 65 RBI. Entering his 15th season in the MLB, he won't be the most trustworthy third baseman in the league. Bautista could hit another 20+ home runs in 2018, however his poor average will be something to consider if you plan on adding him. There's no timetable for when he will be recalled, but Bautista should be in the major leagues within the next few weeks.--Dan Fappiano
