4 years agoMiami Marlins rookie infielder Jose Devers (shoulder) was placed on the injured list on Monday with right shoulder discomfort. Devers was reportedly dealing with the discomfort for most of last week, but was trying to play through it. With the Marlins short on infielders and heading out on a long road trip, the team needed to bring someone up that was healthy. While a corresponding move has not yet been made, the Marlins will likely need to make a 40-man roster move, as the only healthy infielders on the roster are Jesus Aguilar, Lewin Diaz, Isan Diaz, Jazz Chisholm, and Jon Berti. Assuming no setbacks, Devers should be back right when he's eligible or soon after.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
