Jose Devers Reaches Base Three Times On Thursday
4 years agoMiami Marlins rookie infielder Jose Devers played well on Thursday, going 2-for-3 with a walk and two singles. He scored two runs and drove one in as well. Devers is hitting .250 with a .636 OPS, but he's been much better of late. He's a significantly better baseball player both offensively and defensively (and especially on the bases) than Isan Diaz, but Diaz is likely to continue serving as the team's everyday starter because they are managed by Don Mattingly. Devers is looking like he could be a legitimate contributor as soon as he's given the chance, so he should be worth a roster spot in deeper dynasty and keeper formats.
