7 years agoFrom Opening Day to April 12, Detroit Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias had just two hits. Since then, he has notched 19 hits in the last 15 games to raise his season average to .223. That's not a real impressive number, but it puts his slow start into perspective considering he is batting .322 over the aforementioned 15-game span. Iglesias isn't walking much, so he isn't real useful in on-base percentage leagues at this point in time, but he sure is racking up the hits and has four steals to boot. He's always been a contact hitter, so if he can continue to bring his average up, he can have some value in deeper mixed leagues or in AL-only formats.--Tyler Germain - RotoBaller
