3 years agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Jose Iglesias has been released by the organization on Friday. The veteran infielder was set to be a free agent at the end of the season. He was hitting .259/.295/.375 with eight homers, 41 RBI and five stolen bases in 114 games with the Angels this season. He could certainly be an asset to a contending team down the stretch. The release of Iglesias gives the Angels a chance to give Jack Mayfield legitimate playing time. Neither of these two have much upside with the bat and can probably be ignored in all fantasy formats.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
