5 years agoTexas Rangers relief pitcher Jose Leclerc pitched a scoreless ninth inning to pick up his eighth save of the season. Leclerc struck out one and didn't allow a baserunner while preserving a 1-0 win for Texas. Manager Chris Woodward has stated before he wants Leclerc to be the closer and is backing that up as the 25-year-old righty has gotten the last three save chances. Leclerc walks more than he should, but makes up for it with an elite 33.3 percent strikeout rate. Leclerc needs to be owned in any format that uses saves as a category and his strikeout upside make him worth a look in deeper points leagues as well.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
