6 years agoTexas Rangers closer Jose Leclerc has been struggling this season, but he looked good in nailing down his third save of the season on Sunday against the Oakland Athletics. Leclerc did allow a hit, but he ended up striking out the side in a scoreless ninth inning while throwing 14 of his 20 pitches for strikes with first-pitch strikes to each of the four batters he faced. He allowed four earned runs in just two-thirds of an inning in two outings in Arizona on April 9-10, but he put those ugly outings in the rear-view mirror. He is a strong AL-only fantasy option for saves, as well as some mixed formats.--Daniel Dobish
