3 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman/outfielder Jose Marmolejos got the start against the Houston Astros Monday, and he homered in his first at-bat. He went 1-for-3 in the game before being replaced with a pinch-hitter. It appears as though Marmolejos will play against right-handed pitching, giving him the larger side of a platoon role. With 4 homers in 82 at-bats this year, and plenty more in Triple-A, he makes for an intriguing add in deeper leagues, especially those with daily lineup changes.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
