4 years agoSan Francisco Giants minor league relief pitcher Jose Marte was promoted from High-A Eugene to Double-A Richmond on Monday, per Giants reporter Kerry Crowley. The 24-year-old has pitched well this season, compiling 14 strikeouts, three hits and no walks in 6 1/3 innings pitched. The Giants have found success overall this season at the end of games, but Tyler Rogers has really been the team's only consistent reliever, so the team would likely welcome additional support in that department. Marte does not hold fantasy intrigue at this time, but the Giants may consider him to be a potential bullpen option at some point this season if he continues to pitch well in the minors.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
