Jose Peraza Hits Second Homer On Friday
6 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jose Peraza went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in a 12-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday. Peraza's homer was a ninth-inning shot off of St. Louis reliever Dominic Leone. Peraza has been struggling through most of the season, batting just .176 with a .481 OPS, two homers, eight runs, four RBI, and two steals. The young infielder emerged as a solid fantasy asset in 2018 with 14 homers and 23 steals. He has experienced some bad luck at the plate with a .200 BABIP, but he is hitting way too many balls in the air, with 54.4 percent of his batted balls being of the fly-ball variety. Peraza is talented enough to break out, but he isn't a must-hold in standard fantasy leagues.
