Jose Peraza Logs Two Singles
6 years agoCincinnati Reds shortstop Jose Peraza went 2-for-4 with two singles in his team's 9-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday. Peraza, who has been holding down the leadoff spot in the lineup of late, is now hitting .296 with a .737 OPS, five homers, 53 runs, 35 RBI, and 17 steals in 2018. He isn't likely to provide much pop along the way, but Peraza can absolutely be an asset in the steals, runs, and batting average categories going forward. The Reds will welcome the St. Louis Cardinals to town on Monday. Rookie right-hander Daniel Poncedeleon will make his MLB debut against what has been a surprising Reds lineup this season. Peraza will make for a fine play in all formats for that game.
