7 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jose Quintana gave up six earned runs against the Atlanta Braves on Monday afternoon. He had to deal with windy conditions, which helped three of the nine hits he gave up leave the ballpark. Quintana did still manage to get six strikeouts but only lasted 4 2/3 innings, ultimately leading to the loss. It took Quintana 99 pitches to make it as far as he did, and the bullpen still used five arms in relief. It was not the kind of day the Cubs or Quintana owners were looking for.--Blake Sullivan
