4 years agoChicago Cubs left-handed pitcher Jose Quintana (lat) will return to the club Tuesday and start against Pittsburgh, albeit on a pitch count. Quintana last appeared Aug. 30 before being shut down again, having made just two appearances out of relief this season. Previously bothered by a thumb injury, in addition to the recent lat inflammation, manager David Ross said that Quintana will have a leash during his first start of 2020, capping his fantasy intrigue on all levels, even against a lacking Pirates offense. Should Quintana be stretched out in time for the postseason, he may have some DFS intrigue depending on the club’s first-round opponent.--Jesse Borek
