Jose Quintana To Be Re-Evaluated In Two Weeks
4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jose Quintana (thumb) underwent surgery to repair an injury on his left thumb that required five stitches. Quintana will start throwing and be re-evaluated in two weeks. The lefty has had an underwhelming showing in two and a half years as a Cub and owners shouldn’t consider him outside of streaming for DFS purposes this year. Quintana was 13-9 with a 4.68 ERA in 2019. Tyler Chatwood is the favorite to replace Quintana in the rotation. Alec Mills also could get a chance to make some starts. Both Chatwood and Mills can be ignored in most fantasy formats for now.
