2 years agoCleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and three-run triple against the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. Before all was said and done, he also drew a walk and scored three times. Ramirez has put on a show lately, going 8-for-20 with three homers, seven extra-base hits, two walks, two stolen bases, and zero strikeouts over his last five games. Throughout the first two months of 2022, the star third baseman is among the league leaders in most major offensive metrics, including exit velocity, xBA, xSLG, xwOBA, strikeout rate, walk rate, whiff rate, and sprint speed. Even as he approaches his 30th birthday, Ramirez has shown no signs of slowing down.
