3 years agoCleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez (elbow) will sit out Wednesday's contest with the Astros while he continues to deal with an elbow injury, according to Mandy Bell of MLB.com. Ramirez has been playing through a sore elbow all month after injuring it back on July 1 while making a diving attempt at a ground ball to left field. It's bothering him enough now that he will miss his second straight game on Wednesday. Managers should continue to keep a close eye on Ramirez, as the possibility exists of a stint on the IL coming in the near future if there's no improvement. For now though, Ernie Clement will take over at third base again and is batting ninth against Houston.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
