Jose Ramirez Not Starting Saturday
4 years agoCleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez (foot) isn't in the starting lineup for the club on Saturday for their matchup with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Also per Zack Meisel's tweet, Ramirez exited Friday's game due to a left foot contusion after being hit by a pitch. Ramirez has been his usual elite self in 2021, hitting .270 with a .354 on-base percentage. He's also tacked on 16 home runs and six stolen bases. What's more, he might be getting a bit unlucky. The 28-year-old is sporting a .254 BABIP but also has a career-high .400 xwOBA. Expect more elite production once he returns to the lineup. Yu Chang is at the hot corner for Cleveland and is hitting sixth against Pirates right-hander Wil Crowe. The matchup is a good one, but Chang offers very little DFS appeal. The 25-year-old is hitting .178/.251/.283 with only three homers in 199 plate appearances over three big league seasons.
