3 years agoCleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez (elbow) has been scratched from Friday's lineup against the Houston Astros due to elbow soreness, according to Mandy Bell. Ramirez hurt his elbow on a play Thursday night and will be forced to miss Friday's game for the Tribe. He has been heating up lately with a 1.050 OPS and two home runs over the previous two weeks and will certainly be missed in this matchup against Astros right-hander Lance McCullers Jr., as he was posting a .906 OPS with 15 home runs against right-handers on the season. Consider him day-to-day for the time being. Ernie Clement is at the hot corner and is batting sixth on Friday. The rookie has seven hits in his first 27 big league at-bats (.259) with just two strikeouts since coming up in early June.--Kipp Heisterman - RotoBaller
