Jose Ramirez Sets Club Record For Homering From Both Sides
4 years agoCleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez socked home runs from both sides of the dish during Thursday’s win over the Reds, becoming the first player in club history to do so six times with Cleveland. With the blasts, Ramirez raised his OPS on the year to 1.015, a continuation of the terrific second half that he had in 2019. An equal opportunity slugger from either side, Ramirez has particularly mashed lefties early on this year, now 5-for-10 with a pair of home runs and two doubles. An elite fantasy option when right, Ramirez appears to be showing that his first half last season was closer to a fluke than his excellent ‘17 and ‘18 campaigns were. He next faces White Sox right-hander Dylan Cease on Friday.
