Jose Urena Has Struggled In His Last Four Starts
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Jose Urena has struggled mightily in his last four starts, allowing 25 hits, 22 earned runs, nine walks, and eight home runs in his last 13 innings. His most recent start against the Cleveland Indians lasted just 3.1 innings and included the veteran giving up five hits. The problem there was that four of those hits were home runs. After initially providing the Tigers and fantasy managers alike with some quality production with a 3.60 ERA and 31 strikeouts in his first seven starts, Urena is probably someone you can leave on the waiver wire at this point. You're probably better off looking for streaming options elsewhere for his next start on Tuesday, even with the hurler facing a Texas Rangers lineup that has struggled at times to score runs.
