Josh Allen Is A Sleeper Play In Week 13
6 years agoBuffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen will look to continue making progress in his development against the Dolphins in Week 13. The 6-foot-5 rookie is coming off one of his best performances of the season against Jacksonville last week, thanks in large part to the work he did with his legs. Against the Jaguars, he compiled 259 yards from scrimmage, his fourth most this season, as he racked up a season-high 99 rushing yards and one touchdown on 13 carries. The 22-year-old also threw for 160 yards and a score despite completing just eight of 19 passes (42.1 percent) in his first action since Week 6. It was the second time in seven games that Allen has accounted for multiple touchdowns in a game. While his passing numbers aren't overly impressive, the former Wyoming star has shown the moxy needed to make the plays need whether with his arm or legs. The Dolphins, who have yet to allow a rushing touchdown to opposing quarterbacks, are permitting the ninth fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. However, the Dolphins' defense have allowed at least 375 total yards of offense in five of their last six games and they rank 29th in yards allowed overall and 29th in rushing yards. For those reasons, I believe Allen, who registered 26 fantasy points last week, is a sneaky good play in Week 13.
