"Yeah, we want to evolve," said head coach Sean McDermott when asked about Allen's development, specifically regarding the amount of time he takes to the run. The signal-caller had 763 rushing yards during the 2021-22 campaign, finishing behind only Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts. It's worth noting that McDermott also stated he didn't want to change Allen's game entirely, so if the opportunity presents itself, the signal-called will still be encouraged to use his legs. Nonetheless, the 25-year-old had issues with accuracy early in his career. However, after posting a 69.2 completion percentage in 2020, that mark dipped to 63.3 last season.
