7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates first baseman Josh Bell went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Wednesday's win over the Colorado Rockies. Bell had been mired in a mini slump, having gone hitless in his last 10 at-bats before his run-scoring single in the fifth inning. The 25-year-old has been productive for fantasy owners so far in 2018, batting .278/.338/.389 with 11 runs and 13 RBI. The end of that slash line is a bit concerning, though, as he has just one home run on the year after hitting 26 last season. Getting the ball in the air has been an issue for Bell, who had a 56 percent ground-ball rate coming into Wednesday's affair.--Matt Wilkes
