7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates first baseman Josh Bell is getting his first day off of the season on Sunday. The 25-year-old is mired in an 0-for-10 slump at the plate and is hitting just .163/.217/.233 since April 11, so the rest may be what he needs to get going again after a promising start to the year. David Freese will get the nod at first base in Bell's place, batting fifth against Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Nick Pivetta.--Matt Wilkes
