3 years agoWashington Nationals first baseman Josh Bell was making solid contact against Miami Marlins starting pitcher Edward Cabrera all night Wednesday, but he had nothing to show for it until he connected on a two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning. It's his 21st home run of the season. Bell went 1-for-4 in the game. Bell now has exactly one hit in seven of his last eight games, with the only exception being a pinch-hit appearance on August 21.
