Josh Bell Racks Up Three Hits, Three RBI on Sunday
7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates first baseman Josh Bell went 3-for-5 with a double and three knocked in to help his team to a 7-3 win on Sunday. Like many Pittsburgh hitters, the 25-year-old is off to a fast start in 2018, hitting .305/.373/.424 with a 123 wRC+ in 67 plate appearances. Although the power hasn't been there yet (one home run), Bell is finding other ways to contribute to fantasy rosters with 10 RBI and 10 runs scored out of the cleanup spot. His 52.3 groundball percentage leaves something to be desired for a power hitter, but his 6.3 percent home-run-to-fly-ball ratio suggests the long balls will come in time.
