Josh Donaldson, Byron Buxton Absent From Saturday's Lineup

4 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson (calf) and outfielder Byron Buxton (head) are not among the club’s starting nine for Saturday's contest versus Cincinnati and right-hander Luis Castillo. Donaldson left early Friday due to cramping in his right calf, which has already sidelined him for more than a month this season. Buxton was hit by a pitch in the head, but has only displayed mild concussion symptoms, with the club optimistic that he can be cleared in time for Game 1 of the Wild Card series Tuesday. Ehire Adrianza and Jake Cave will take over in place of Donaldson and Buxton, respectively, although neither has much DFS appeal as they face Castillo, who has been splendid as of late.--Jesse Borek
