Josh Donaldson Placed On Paternity List
2 years agoThe New York Yankees placed third baseman Josh Donaldson on the paternity list on Wednesday. The veteran is batting .220 with a .309 on-base percentage, 12 home runs, and a pair of stolen bases in 457 plate appearances in his first season in New York. The Yankees also recalled right-handed pitcher Deivi Garcia from Triple-A to take Donaldson's place on the active roster. Garcia has yet to appear in the Majors this season but made two starts for the Yankees last year. He's pitched to a 7.26 ERA, 59 strikeouts, and 25 walks in 53.1 innings, mainly as a starter, in the minors this season.
