6 years agoAtlanta Braves third baseman Josh Donaldson appears set to make his spring debut on Friday against the Philadelphia Phillies. He was 3-for-3 with a home run in Wednesday's simulated game. Donaldson is a bounce-back candidate for fantasy managers after he suffered through an injury-riddled 2018 campaign that limited him to just 52 games. He would be a steal if he can return to the 2017 form that saw him slash .270/.385/.559 with 33 home runs and 77 RBI, let alone his MVP-caliber play from 2015. Donaldson is a pick that comes with sizable risk, but the potential upside is tantalizing. He will produce in an explosive lineup as long as he can stay moderately healthy.
