6 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson has missed two games due to a calf injury suffered on Monday, and will now make it a third as he’s not feeling well enough to play on Friday. Before, the issue seemed minor and not exceptionally noteworthy. However, Toronto had the day off on Thursday, so the fact that Donaldson still isn’t ready to go after the break is at least somewhat concerning. Hopefully, he’ll be healthy enough to play over the weekend. If not, Toronto will have no choice but to think of adding him to the disabled list, retroactive to earlier this week. Yangervis Solarte will get the start at the hot corner, while the returning Aledmys Diaz takes Solarte’s place at shortstop.--John Smith
