6 years agoThe New England Patriots are trying to finalize the acquisition of wide receiver Josh Gordon from the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday. The holdup is related to the Pats receiving an extra draft pick as part of the deal, according to a source informed of the situation. The Patriots are finalizing the acquisition of a seventh-round pick from the Browns in addition to the fifth-rounder they previously agreed on. The trade is expected to be completed soon. This trade will go down. Gordon will be a member of the Patriots, but it's justifiable to be skeptical about how quickly he can learn the offense and gain quarterback Tom Brady's trust. If he's active in Week 3 against the Lions, Gordon will once again be a risky boom-or-bust WR3. But this trade undoubtedly raises his ceiling for the rest of the year, even with Julian Edelman set to return in Week 5.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
