7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates second baseman Josh Harrison (hand) has been cleared for baseball activities and expects to begin a rehab assignment "soon," according to The Athletic's Rob Biertempfel. Harrison took batting practice on Friday, an important step in returning from a broken left hand that has kept him out since April 15. He was initially expected to return in six weeks, but he appears to be ahead of that time frame, as Sunday will be the four-week mark from the point of the injury.--Matt Wilkes
