3 years agoTexas Rangers third base prospect Josh Jung (shoulder) underwent surgery to fix a torn left labrum on Wednesday, and the rehab process suggests that he'll miss six months before he is ready to serve as a designated hitter. Jung finished the 2021 season as MLB Pipeline's No. 48 overall prospect and potentially could have debuted with the Rangers early in the 2022 season after slashing an impressive .326/.398/.592 with 19 home runs and 61 RBI in 78 games last year with Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock. The 24-year-old right-handed hitter is still one to keep an eye on in dynasty/keeper formats, but there's a pretty good chance that we won't see him in the big leagues now until 2023.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
